It’s the start of a new year and with that comes a lot of excitement here at Q4. Before we get too ahead of ourselves, we wanted to reflect back on the substantial growth Q4 has experienced in 2015.
Continually creating a superior level of innovation around customer experience, Q4’s market communication and intelligence platform has seen a strong expansion in 2015, strengthening our ability to cater to the needs of each and every client in an all-encompassing manner.
So, what have we been up to?
This year we launched Q4 Touch, the first mobile finance app created specifically for IROs rather than investors. We wanted to provide IROs with a tool that allowed them to easily compare their company’s stock performance and market standing against industry peers. Q4 Touch also provides access to any public, North American company’s press releases and financial news specifically relating to their market performance. Q4 Touch is free, convenient and most of all—efficient. The latest edition is currently available for Android or Apple devices.
In April 2015, Q4 partnered with Chicago-based market intelligence firm Oxford Intelligence Partners. The goal of the partnership was to bring Oxford’s industry leading stock surveillance and options intelligence to the Q4 Touch platform. As we began working together, it became clear that we shared the same vision of market disruption in the IR services sector.
In September 2015, Q4 officially acquired Oxford, taking a step forward in realizing our shared vision. This acquisition has brought with it a new Q4 office in Chicago and a new Q4 Intelligence team made up of former on-the-floor options traders, veteran analysts and innovative financial technologists with 160 years of combined experience.
Armed with Oxford’s proprietary data metrics, Q4’s Market Intelligence Suite was launched into action. The suite includes Stock Surveillance as well as Trading Analytics (which uses options trading data to provide predictive stock performance insight) and Relative Performance (which uses historical stock and volatility data to highlight potential market movement).
Whether you’re interested in obtaining real-time trading activity habits of institutional stakeholders or investigating quantifiable market expectations, Q4’s Intelligence suite is unlike any other market intelligence offering. And don’t expect this push to lessen come 2016, there’s more product integration to come.
Q4 IPO Subsidy
In 2014, Q4 handled web hosting and webcasting for 20% of all NYSE/NASDAQ IPO companies. This experience provided us with insight into the daily stresses that can stretch on for months at a company during and after an IPO. With that in mind, in the fall of 2015, we created the Q4 IPO Subsidy Program. The goal of the program is to provide any company listing on the NYSE or NASDAQ with best in class web hosting and webcasting so they have a couple less things to worry about following their IPO. Our Implementations Managers and Client Success Managers have a lot of experience with IPO clients and are ready to provide website and webcasting best practices.
More than any other asset, we see IROs invest the most time and effort into their corporate reports. They’re committed to creating excellent corporate reports because they know that it’s what investors want and a primary factor in influencing investment decision.
While we couldn’t agree more with the importance of corporate reports, it doesn’t feel right for them to be filed away on the IR website as a static PDF file. Why not take advantage of the web and offer investors an engaging, online experience?
Enter Q4 Online Reports.
Our new Online Report builder takes key assets from any corporate report and creates a dynamic mini site that makes your messaging pop. Apply images or rich media content to any of your stories and communicate your key metrics and financials through infographics, charts and striking visuals.
With more investors enlisting their corporate research in front of a company screen, now is the time to reconsider how to make your story stand out.
Recognition & Outreach
Q4 has been making headway on and offline. In November, Q4 was inducted into the annual Canadian Innovation Exchange (CIX) Top 20 program, joining past heavy-hitting tech companies such as Chango, Frank & Oak, Wattpad and Kobo Books. Q4 was also included in the PROFIT 500 list as well as the Deloitte 500, both of which highlight the fastest growing technology companies.
2016 and Beyond
2016 is all set to be an even bigger year. With a ton on our roadmap we’re committed and excited to continue expanding our solutions to help our clients achieve more and make better decisions in their investor relations efforts. Stay tuned!
